Travels Continued

Found another wifi spot. Thanks to the Chamber of Commerce.

After Watson Lake came Muck Luck Annie's, where we dined on grilled salmon. The portions were so large that there was enough for supper the next day. The meal included a pontoon boat ride on Lake Teslin, where we fed the gulls. The next day brought us to Whitehorse for a couple of days rest and than on the Skagway, USA.

We saw Chilicoot Pass and tried to imagine the stampeeders carrying supplies to find gold. The Canadian government insisted that each person carried 2000 lbs of supplies and they obviously could only carry a small amount at a time. Some had to make 30 trips over the mountain in the snow and freezing cold. Unfortunately, by the time they got over the mountains, the claims had already been staked out and most of them left the gold fields as poor as when they arrived.

Wildlife

It is amazing how little cell phone or e mail contact there is on the road. We have to find wifi so we can communicate.

The last posting had us at Dawson Creek. We left there and headed for Toad River Lodge, British Columbia. We had a large lake in our back yard and got some beautiful pictures of some moose and 2 beavers.

The next day we headed to Watson Lake, Yukon Territory. On the way there we saw moose and a black bear on the shoulder of the road. We also had to stop for the stone sheep blocking on the highway.

At Watson Lake, we visited the signpost forest and added our name to the more than 61,000 signs already there since 1942

Welcome to Don & Jill's RV Adventure Blog!

In an effort to help Don & Jill show us what a great time they are having while traveling in their Rock Star RV, I helped create this Blog. Don sent an email out with pictures and was having trouble posting due to sporadic cell service and the scarcity of wifi spots. I am going to take the liberty of making the first post with the pictures he sent me so we can all start to follow along on their never ending trip to nowhere.

Enjoy!
