After Watson Lake came Muck Luck Annie's, where we dined on grilled salmon. The portions were so large that there was enough for supper the next day. The meal included a pontoon boat ride on Lake Teslin, where we fed the gulls. The next day brought us to Whitehorse for a couple of days rest and than on the Skagway, USA.

We saw Chilicoot Pass and tried to imagine the stampeeders carrying supplies to find gold. The Canadian government insisted that each person carried 2000 lbs of supplies and they obviously could only carry a small amount at a time. Some had to make 30 trips over the mountain in the snow and freezing cold. Unfortunately, by the time they got over the mountains, the claims had already been staked out and most of them left the gold fields as poor as when they arrived.
